Artist's Comments

I am NOT happy with this picture - didn't have my usual camera so I was forced to take it with my video camcorder :shakefist: might be moved to scraps soon so no critique on the shitty quality of the picture please. All other critique welcomed and encouraged.

More from my travels through Pakistan. The National Monument of Pakistan, located in Lahore, Pakistan (also known as the 'Garden City' for its reknowned Moughal architecture and botanic beauty) as seen from outside the South-gates (I took the picture while in passing, as the park itself was closed).

Subject: Minar-e-Pakistan ('Tower of Pakistan')
Location: Lahore, Pakistan
Personal reccomendation: Can't say much about this particular sight as I personally don't know much about it myself. Not to mention I couldn't gain access to the park. All I can say is nice lotus-like base :D
Notes: Go and see it because God knows I wasn't able to lol. Also, be warned - It was on the day I took this picture that I found out tourists and foreigners pay more (a LOT more) than locals. Includes 'natives' from outside the country.

Thanks babe - it would have been better if I had been able to take the shot earlier in the day - not to mention those two rod like things ruining half the shot :shakefist:

Well George Clooney probably does date way hotter chicks than me, but I probably eat way more beef jerky than he does.....so I guess it all evens out......

Yeah the poles were surroung it all over so I couldn't get a clear shot without them - that was the only place I could get a decent shot. Also keeping in mind I stopped the taxi, got out, took the shot, then carried on my way lol.

As for where you may have recognised it the architect done a lot of stuff in Europe - check the further reading links you might find something.

I wasn't too sure - they were just rods. My cousin who was with me at the time said they were there for security but I don't see how they could do anything to protect the park lol. The taxi driver however mentioned flags - which make a little more sense seeing how the rods were all the way around the perimeter lol
